\"theme\"<\/a>We, the members of this church, declare it to be one of God\u2019s appointed agencies for the salvation of men.\u00a0 Our mission is to be \u201cvisionaries empowered by the Holy Spirit to transform lives through Jesus Christ<\/i>.\u201d\u00a0 We will strive to maintain the ordinances of the gospel.\u00a0 We believe as it is written, Christ gave Himself for the church \u201cthat He might present to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.\u201d (Eph 5:27).<\/p>\n

Therefore, we do declare and establish this constitution to preserve and secure the principles of our faith, and to that end, to be governed in an orderly manner consistent with the Baptist church Covenant.\u00a0 (Any reference to the male gender, such as man, he, etc. refers to \u201call of the people of God\u201d and should not be misconstrued for any other purpose<\/i>.)<\/p>\n

1. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0THE SCRIPTURES<\/strong><\/p>\n

We believe that the Bible was written by men divinely inspired; that it reveals the principles by which God will judge us and is the supreme standard for human conduct, creed, and opinion.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 GOD<\/strong><\/p>\n

We believe that there is one, and only one, living and true God, maker and supreme ruler of all things, inexpressibly glorious in holiness, and worthy of all possible honor, confidence, and love; that in the unity of the Godhead there are three persons:\u00a0 The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit, equal in every divine perfection and executing distinct, but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption.<\/p>\n

\u00a03. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0CHRIST<\/strong><\/p>\n

We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary:\u00a0 that He died for our sins and was raised for our justification; that He is both spirit and man, and is the only sufficient mediator between God and man through whom every soul may have direct access to God.<\/p>\n

4. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0THE HOLY SPIRIT<\/strong><\/p>\n

We believe in the personality of the Holy Spirit, and that He is constantly revealing Christ and divine truth to men.<\/p>\n

5. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0SIN AND SALVATION<\/strong><\/p>\n

We believe that all men have sinned and come short of the glory of God, and therefore, have an absolute need of salvation through the grace of God.\u00a0 We believe that the way to salvation is found in the teachings of Jesus Christ and that every man ought to show His love and faith in Christ by a public profession followed by baptism.<\/p>\n

6. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0THE CHURCH<\/strong><\/p>\n

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the living head of the Church, which is composed of all men everywhere who acknowledge Him as Lord and Savior.<\/p>\n

7. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0BAPTISM<\/strong><\/p>\n

We believe baptism to be an ordinance of the Lord Jesus Christ wherein the believer is immersed in water in the name of The Father and of The Son, and of The Holy Spirit as a sign of his fellowship with the death and resurrection of Christ, of remission of sins, and of his giving himself up to God to live and walk in the newness of life.<\/p>\n

8.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 THE LORD\u2019S SUPPER<\/strong><\/p>\n

We believe The Lord\u2019s Supper to be an ordinance of the Lord Jesus Christ to be observed by his churches until the end of the world.\u00a0 It is designed to commemorate His death, to confirm the faith and other graces of Christians, and to be a bond, pledge and renewal of their communion with Him, and with the fellowship of His church.\u00a0 Observation of communion shall be held in accordance with the Bylaws herein.<\/p>\n

9.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 THE LORD\u2019S DAY<\/strong><\/p>\n

We believe that the first day of the week is The Lord\u2019s Day and that it should be kept sacred to religious purposes.<\/p>\n
